eteaket has been part of the Ethical Tea Partnership (ETP) since 2015. Erica Moore, founder at eteaket says, “Sourcing amazing teas is at the heart of what we do and right from the start it has been vitally important to us that our teas are ethically sourced. From our visits to numerous tea gardens around the world we’ve witnessed firsthand the importance of monitoring standards in the lives of tea workers and the surrounding environment. We want to do everything possible to ensure tea workers get a fair deal. We’re proud to be a member of the ETP and look forward to playing our part in ensuring the tea industry grows sustainably and with a conscience.”
From ancient Ayurvedic tradition, straight to an eteaket teacup – we’ve blended turmeric with our Chilli Rooibos to give this golden spice an extra kick! A soothing tea latte to encourage a calming effect on body and mind.
As well as ensuring ethics and a social conscience is at the heart of tea operations, eteaket also takes pride in giving back through its “Cuppas for Causes” campaign working with Aberlour Child Care Trust – hosting events, fund-raising and launching a mentoring scheme for this Scotland based children’s charity – and supporting disadvantaged children in Parijat Academy in Assam, providing 1 month education for every new trade customer joining eteaket.
Brew a strong pot of tea (brew for twice as long as normal) and pour 2/3 of a mug.
In a jug mix 2 parts milk to 1 part condensed milk. Add turmeric powder. Heat to approximately 80ºC (steam with coffee machine or heat on the stove/microwave).
Top up mug of tea with turmeric milk mixture.
The contrast of the turmeric milk mixture can produce some great latte art – what will you create?
